the view is absolutely stunning, but when I saw the pool in such a dirty state, it was hard to be impressed. Not to mention, I was expecting a complimentary upgrade because, honestly, do they treat guests like me any differently? just couldn't leave a good review with such disappointments lingering in my mind.

Stunning views and delicious breakfast
From the moment I arrived, I was enchanted by the breathtaking views of Lake Arenal. Every morning, I looked forward to the delicious homemade breakfast, made with fresh, local ingredients, lovingly prepared by the wonderful staff.
However, getting to Nepenthe B&B was a bit challenging due to the steep access road, which is best navigated with a four-wheel drive vehicle. A few bugs unfortunately found their way into our room, which was a bit distracting.

Our stay was amazing, especially enjoying the refreshing pool and watching toucans right outside our room. The massage options were fantastic, helping us relax after hiking adventures, but the winding road up made for an interesting drive. I'd definitely recommend taking it slow to absorb the beautiful scenery! 🌄

The Superior Villa was spacious and had stunning views of the lake! Waking up to howler monkeys outside was a treat. The bed was comfy, but I wished for some coffee filters to brew my own coffee. The vibe was super chill by the pool, and the staff really made the experience feel personal and welcoming.

Man, that view of Lake Arenal was insane! Wakin’ up to howler monkeys outside my room? Priceless! Our villa was mad spacious, just wished they had coffee filters so I could brew my own. The staff treated us like family tho, so that made up for it. Gotta mention the chill vibes by the pool for real.

We loved the stunning views from our room and made great use of the beautiful pool. The breakfast spread was delicious, and the friendly staff were super accommodating, especially with our newborn. We enjoyed activities like hiking and visiting nearby hot springs, making our family trip memorable.
In my wife’s opinion, a better variety of kitchen equipment would help families a lot.
